La 27th Nicaraguan Restaurant in Los Angeles transported me straight back to my unforgettable vacation in Nicaragua. The vibrant atmosphere, complete with lively cumbia music and the energetic hustle and bustle of the kitchen, perfectly captured the spirit of the country. My culinary journey began with a delightful cacao drink, a rich and creamy chocolate milk that was simply divine. The main course, a heartwarming chicken stew brimming with potatoes, bell peppers, and onions, was a symphony of flavors. It was expertly complemented by gallopinto, the quintessential Nicaraguan dish of red beans and rice, a tangy cabbage salad, a comforting grilled cheese, and irresistibly sweet maduros. Every bite was a celebration of authentic Nicaraguan cuisine, a true testament to the passion and skill of the chefs. La 27th is a must-visit for anyone craving a taste of Nicaragua in Los Angeles.

Love there authentic food. Drove from Santa Clarita just to come here. Parking isn't that great but the food makes up for it.

Sopa borracha nicaragüense. It's good, it's different, it has a hard bread inside and a custard on top, it's good. Taste lo cinnamon. I like the ambience and service.

If you're looking for some sabroso, good tasting Nica food, I recommend trying this place out. It's always worth my 1 hour and 30 min drive to come here at least one or twice a month. This place was introduced to me by my grandma, may she rest in peace. This place has always given me the warmth of her presence since it was her favorite place to eat a Nacatamal and plátano verdes! I use to always get the plátano verde plate served with falló pinto and sapicon, but now my favorite meat plate is Fritanga d la 27. Here's some images I will share. You hope enjoy once you decide to try it :)
